Who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how R-Computer, Inc. ("R-Computer," "RC365," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit rcomp365.com or r-computer.com (together, the "Sites"), or when you use our remote support tools. R-Computer, Inc. is a Northern California managed IT and security services provider, and RC365 is the name we use for our managed services division.
Information we collect
We collect information in a few different ways:
- Information you give us directly — such as your name, email address, phone number, company name, and any message details you provide through a contact form, email, or phone call.
- Automatically collected information — like your IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited, gathered through standard web server logs when you browse the Sites.
- Remote support session information — when you connect to a support session through our remote support tool, we may collect session identifiers, connection timestamps, and technician access logs necessary to provide the support session.
- Font delivery — the Sites load typefaces from Google Fonts. Loading a font makes a request to Google's servers, which may log your IP address subject to Google's own privacy practices.
We do not use the Sites to knowingly collect payment card information, government ID numbers, or other sensitive personal information.
Cookies
The Sites do not use cookies for advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking, and we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Our remote support tool is provided through a third-party embedded application (ScreenConnect™) that may set a functional session cookie solely to establish and maintain your support session; this cookie is not used for tracking or advertising purposes. Because we do not use tracking or advertising cookies, no cookie consent or opt-out mechanism is required or provided on the Sites at this time. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy accordingly.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to inquiries and provide quotes or support
- Deliver and improve our managed IT and security services
- Maintain the security and proper functioning of the Sites and our infrastructure
- Meet legal, contractual, and regulatory obligations
We do not sell personal information collected through the Sites, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Remote support sessions
RC365 provides remote support through a self-hosted ScreenConnect™ platform. When you initiate or accept a remote support session:
- A technician can only view or control your screen after you explicitly approve the connection request.
- You may end the session at any time, and no persistent remote access remains once a session is closed unless separately agreed to as part of a managed services arrangement.
- Session logs (such as who connected, when, and for how long) may be retained for security, billing, and quality purposes.
If you are a managed services client
If your organization has a Master Service Agreement or similar contract with R-Computer, Inc. for managed IT or security services, that agreement — not this website policy — governs how we access, handle, and protect your organization's systems and data during the course of providing services. This Privacy Policy covers only your interactions with the Sites themselves (such as filling out a contact form or requesting a remote session), not the broader client relationship.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers who help us operate our business, such as email hosting, backup, and security monitoring partners — including a third-party security operations partner who assists with 24/7 threat monitoring outside our regular business hours.
- Legal and safety purposes — if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of R-Computer, our clients, or others.
- A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws — including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) — such as the right to know what personal information we hold about you, request its deletion, or ask that we not sell it (we do not sell personal information). To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
Children's privacy
The Sites are intended for business use and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Third-party links
The Sites may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites, and we encourage you to review their policies directly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
